Male Eastern Bluebirds are a brilliant royal blue on the back and head, and warm rusty-brown on the breast. Females sport blue tinges on the wings and tail. Many Eastern Bluebirds in North America nest in birdhouses put up especially for them. They feed on insects and berries and will come to feeders that provide mealworms.
