The barn is part of a cluster of homes, barns and other buildings along what is known as Mormon Row.  The area was first settled by Mormon homesteaders in the  1890s, creating a community called "Gros Ventre", with a total of 27 homesteads

Mormon Row was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997 as an Historic District.

There are countless photo opportunities in Grand Teton and nearby Yellowstone National Parks. One could easily stay two weeks there and still not cover both parks. If you decide to go, consider staying in Jackson which is near the famous Jackson Hole ski slope. Jackson is on the southern border of Grand Teton NP and it is another one to two hour drive to Yellowstone fro there.

With a little planning you can rent a condo there for a week or two and see the sites and save a little.

This photo was taken in September of 2015 at sunset. The setting sun backlit the clouds and provided rays of color contrast for a minute or two.

This image was with a Nikon D610 with a 24-70 mm f2.8 Nikon Lens, set at 32mm, at f7.1 with a shutter speed of 1/800th of a second. The face of the barn was lightened in Adobe Camera Raw to bring out the detail of the building. The vibrance of the sunset colors was increased as well to accentuate them.
