Anna’s Hummingbirds are quite common along the Pacific Coast.  Their iridescent emerald feathers and rose-pink throats make them easily distinguishable from other hummers.  They readily come to feeders, often diligently defending them.  They don't head south during the winter so they will hang around a feeder year around.  Read more about feeding hummingbirds here
